Project Scope
Installation of 2 Synchronous Compensator 4A and 4B at Isle of Grain power station in Kent. The Synchronous Compensator is connected to existing 400kV National Grid Grain substation.
Our Scope
UKPE is engaged to provide Owner’s Engineer and Technical Specialist support for the client.
- Undertake a comprehensive review of all design (HV electrical, protection, civil and structural) to ensure the design complies with the relevant standards
- Technical support during procurement and detailed design stage.
- Coordinate between the client’s contractor and the end user on technical and engineering design issues
- Provide guidance on technical aspects of the project with emphasis on technical compliance, safety, operation and maintenance.
- Manage TQ’s and provide support to respond to TQ’s for the detailed design stage.
- Provide inputs to monthly integrated design coordination meetings
- Commissioning support and interface with National Grid
